FAQ

  • How much weight can the Hedge Hawg hold?
    25 lbs.
  • Can I get parts for broken items on my Hedge Hawg?
Yes, send an email to kcin.zerimar@gmail.com. Or pick out spare parts from the website and purchase online with your credit card when I get that working....
  • How do I adjust the height of the tool?
Hedge Hawg has a sliding latch with infinite adjustability. Just takes two fingers to move the adjustment latch.
  • Why is the Hedge Hawg so expensive?
The Hedge Hawg is made to last. All components are made of Rust Resistant materials that are either Aluminum, galvanized or stainless steel and tough Neopreme and Nylon. All nuts are nylock so they don't come loose. The Hedge Hawg should last decades and is rebuildable. Even the belt is military grade. Good materials cost more. Sure we could have made it from plastic but you'd be throwing it away and buying new ones every year. Most of the expense however, is due to product liability insurance, you can thank the lawyers for that.
  • How do I set up my machine to use with a Hedge Hawg?
See our video for how to find the center of gravity and use that point as your attachment point.
  • What safety consideration should I be aware of?
    - Firstly, your brain is the best safety device you have. Always maintain situational awareness when operating any machine. - Watch for low hanging electrical wires. You have a metal pipe strapped to your back which is needed to hold up your machine, you don't want it to touch any electrical wires - Watch your step. Tripping while operating a machine with or without the Hedge Hawg can be dangerous - Keep your hands clear of the cutting blades on your machine. - Always wear your personal protective gear such as gloves, safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, hats/helmets, sunscreen, etc. - Always watch for vehicular traffic, mowers, cars, trucks, pedestrians, etc
